Thanksgiving

Thank you to all the guests that visited our apartment (and contributed food) tonight for Thanksgiving dinner. For some it was reminiscent of home, and for others it was their first Thanksgiving. The food was absolutely amazing—and might I add that our feast was completely vegetarian? I’m especially thankful for the decorations that were made and the cleaning that was done in preparation. And of course, many thanks go to Elisa for coordinating the evening… You’re amazing.

Above all, I’m thankful for safety abroad, for the good company of new friends, and for the opportunity to study dance in a place like this. This experience is truly one of a kind. Happy Thanksgiving from Israel.

A Tuesday Triumph

Greetings and good morning.

I went to the Shuk yesterday and my haul was the biggest yet. I had decided that it was no longer enough to be a raw foodatarian. To stock my kitchen, I bought all sorts of vegetables, some fresh warm pita, some pastries, and coffee.

Retroactive Post from 35,000 Feet

I am writing this as we pass over the Atlantic Ocean, at an elevation of 35000 feet, 596 miles per hour, and with just over 3000 miles to go until Tel Aviv.

It has been my goal during the last academic year and definitely this summer to cultivate my patience. And boy, did it come in handy today. If you’ve traveled internationally, you can imagine what I’m about to explain.
